We are planning to renovate our home. As our ceiling looks unattractive and old, we would like to upgrade our ceiling with decorative lights like shown in the image .

When I spoke with my friends, they recommended me to use <a href=”https://tranquil.global/linear-ceiling-systems/”>metal baffle ceiling</a> or linear ceiling which is commonly known as false ceilings. Is there any other ceiling system I can opt to get a good lighting and rich look?
The ceiling height is 10feet, according to me, a false ceiling would not reduce the room’s height.

and of course, any kind of ceiling you install under the current one will reduce the height of the room.
