I’ve got all of my upstairs units dry walled on one side… I’m have’n the stud bays sprayed/filled with the water activated glue cellulose insulation… mostly for sound…
we are also liquid nails glue’n every scrap of drywall to the backside of the hung drywall for added mass… a 4″ x 4″ scrap gets glued to the back of every steel junction box…… all gaps & cracks that i know cellulose won’t go into get foamed or caulked…
just curious the square ft price for blown cellulose in 6″ walls… seems i’m look’n at around 70cents a sf here on a 17000sf job… in the ball park?
thanks

Around here where I'm at, the going rate is about .80-.85 per foot for the water activated blown in.
Thats mot an old bid is it? Cellulose went up around October last year.
actually got a new bid from Gaurdian... .60sf for 17k sf they are doing alot around here now... salesman was a good guy also... that helped... and that they had no problem doing it in 3 trips helped

That seems like a good price. I guess the 17k has a lot to do with the lower price.
That's pretty cheap. Mine was $1.50 I believe (but that was dense pack in 2x6 walls).
