I am preparing a sun room for ceramic tile. The floor is concrete slab. Over the concrete many years ago vinyl square tiles were installed. Next carpet was glued down on top of that. The carpet has been removed leaving the VCT and glue residue from the carpet. My questions are what is the best way to go about getting this ready to tile and what adhesive or thin set mortar should I use. I do not want to pull up the VST as they are old enough to contain asbestos. Any help would be appreciated.
