I am going to remodel a bathroom that has a very ugly color ceramic tile (3″x3″) the whole way around the bathroom up about 4′. Is there anything I can do with the tile except breaking them out and starting all over? Can they be painted? I’m open for suggestions. Thanks

Yes, they can be primed and painted. They aren't going to look great but it will probably be better than your tile. Also, it will scratch pretty easily so make sure you keep the paint around for touchups.

Gonna be 20 yrs in a month.........but you got suckered in as this had a spam reply to it that I deleted.
But, this has worked well for us over the years. Prime with I think I remember was called XM primer. Most any recommended top coat over. And XM is very noxious!
Good grief I did! I guess the drinks are on me today!
Yes, I opened a can of XM once, dipped the brush in, closed the can and left it with the customer. That's the nastiest stuff I ever tried to paint with.
