CertainTeed Vinyl Siding Lap

Wanted to ask if is normal for a contractor to put small nails in the weep holes on lap siding at the next to the top layer for securing in place?  Thank you.

    Have never seen it. Nor ever did it. What does certainteed say?

      Thank you. Have not heard back yet. I have seen it on several homes done by different installers. It's not in every weep hole. I was just curious if anyone else had seen. Thanks again for resonse.
