I am replacing a large ceiling fan with a 43 pound chandelier. The fan was attached to a typical fan ceiling box with extensions that connect with the ceiling joists on either side (50 pound rating for fixtures). The issue is the ceiling is sloped and the box is installed flush with the ceiling. Can I just install the chandelier as I would on a flat ceiling? I’m concerned about stress on the threaded pipe and nut connecting the chain to the box because they will be installed into the box on an angle.
Thanks for your help.

It shouldn't be a problem, assuming there's a loop at the top of the fixture for the chain to pivot in. 43 lbs isn't "that" heavy, so it shouldn't overstress the rod. Of course, you could always contact the fixture manufacturer to see if they have any special requirements to accomodate the slope.

Thanks Bob. There is a chain and a loop, so the chain and fixture will hang straight down, but the rod and loop will be installed into the sloped box so they will at an angle. The setup looked OK to me and the weight was well within the limits of the box, but I wanted to get a second opinion.

Second signing off on the plan. If the box was correct for the fan and properly fastened [I'd triple check that] than I'd expect no problem. Spinning fans are a little more stress than a static light fixture.
