$2003.43 A HOUR
Any "fine builder" won't be thinking in terms of an hourly rate. That's basically a wage.
A builder is a businessman (or businesswoman), and they'll be (or should be) thinking in terms of an owner's draw and benefits, and company profit.
The owner's draw is the money the company pays the owner, in essence a salary. A businessperson or professional won't be thinking of salary in terms of an hourly pay rate, either. They'll be thinking of total monthly compensation including benefits like health care and dental plan, retirement plan, paid time off, etc.
I'm curious, why do you ask? Are you a homeowner trying to figure out what a contractor should be paid for a job based on time spent at a "per hour" rate? If so--well, there's a lot more to it than that.
