Thinking of putting some split stone tiles from the Cheapo Depot in my entry way. They seem to be about 5/16ths of an inch thick and though they have some fancy designer name they look like the quartzite found along much of coastal Maine. Think these are a durable as fired tiles?
Anyone with experience with these…they’re wicked cheap.

I’ll be putting this over 1 3/4″ x 11 7/8″ BCI’s with 3/4″ OSB spanning 11′. Leaning towrds 1/4″ durarock.

Also, suggestions on types of sealer and grout would be appreciated.
