arcticcat | Posted in Photo Gallery on October 27, 2004 10:58am

At 10:38 pm last night, my wife blessed me with a new son, Caleb David.  Mom & baby are doing good.

Drinks & cigars on me!

    YO!  DADDY!

    Congratulations!

    Ugly litle sucker, aint he?

Don't worry, they all look like that when they're new, he'll grow out of it in a day or two, then he'll be as beutiful as she is.

    Fer a while.

    Then he'll just be handsome.

    Congratulations.

    Man, babies are really something.

Life just doesn't get any better 'n that...

Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours and wet the bed?

    Congrats to you both..

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming

Mike- BTW, being a true Minnesotan, I'm kinda partial to Grain Belt Premium (bottles, of course).  Otherwise, Leinies Honey Weiss is pretty good too. :)

Looks like you're next, Best of luck to ya!

Congratulations Brother. My first thought when I saw you son was Man I hope he like Linnes Honey Wiess so then I can have some of my own payoff. LOL. But then again at the rate our baby is coming (9 days late) I might never get out of the cities.

        I have a cousin named Caleb -he's a brat---J/K No really he's a great kid. Love the name .

Truely know that you are blessed with a son. Are your other two girls? I Hope to post soon with ours and then I can gladly pay my debts. Peace Mike

Wow, thanks for all the well wishes.  I'm sure my wife will appreciate the compliments as well.  Might offset the fact I posted a pic of her five minutes after giving birth on the web.  You can bet I'm enjoying every minute of this.  Kids are truly the greatest gift.  I love just holding them, watching every little facial expression, every little move they make.

Watching a kid being born, man what a rush.  I consider my self to be about as much of a manly man as the next guy.  Can't remember the last time I cried, maybe when my dogs died when I was about 12 or so.  But seeing that slimy little critter moving his ten fingers & toes after they laid him on her belly kinda put a lump in my throat.  When he started crying on his own a few seconds later, I could even feel my eyes getting a little misty.  Seems like I got a bit that way with the other two also.   Had a lot of fun at the hospital too- I used to be a paramedic based out of this hospital, so we've known the nurses and doc for a long time.

Please forgive my rambling on here, I don't usually get deep on internet forums, must be due to running on two hours of sleep since Tuesday morning. :)

Anyways, I'm gonna go check on them early in the morning again, work till noon or so, then hopefully bring them home and let the games begin!

      Thanks again,

      Mike
