This is a cherry kitchen I built and installed in a 25 year old contemporary remodel two months ago .
The curved back wall on the island/peninsula was different , as is the upper bar shape .
The finish is clear post cat with a glaze in the detail .
thanks for looking

Really nice, and clean. I like the floors too, so many wood floors nowadays seem to be so dark.
nice job even if i am only on dial up
what are the counter tops ?
dude ,
Sorry about the large and not so good pictures , the tops are granite .

Looks very nice. Interesting about the granite guys. Sucks. Nice job, however, on the cabinets.Neither cold, nor darkness will deter good people from hastening to the dreadful place to quench the flame. They do it not for the sake of reward or fame; but they have a reward in themselves, and they love one another.

Very nice - Personal taste dictates, I don't like their choice in the granite or backsplash, might look different live.
The tops were granite and became a major problem .
I got involved much later in the process then normal with this job , I posted a few months back about the granite shop owner who's crew are screw ups and missed the main sink center by almost 2" .
I ended up going in to have a heart to heart with the owner to inform him of the disposition (####) of the job , he has been to the job twice and has fixed some minor chips and such and offered to give them money back .
They neglected to educate the HOs as to how certain seams in granite look ,the seams on this job look like you could drive a small car down them .
The stone looks nice but not the fabrication ,for the biggest oldest most well equipped shop in town it was an amateur looking job at best , a real disappointment.
thanks for looking dusty
I do remember the older post with regard to the install of the granite. In this post w/pics I'm referring to the choice of color, not what I would have chosen, nor the back-splash, no POP factor for me.
agreed by me
Very nice.
Do you have a closeup of the joinery on the doors/drawer fronts? I like that look with the bead a lot.

FR,
Sorry about the poor photos , #007 is a fair shot of the faces .
These are full overlay faces with about a 1/4" space between faces and doors for the most part , gives a pretty tight look with the integrity of a face frame .
Thanks for looking

That's a beautiful look!
Thank You very much .
I have done many variations of this theme , square edge , or the shaper detail as in these pics this one was glazed and that is why it had the outside detail so there was a place to stop the glaze . I'm not sure I love the glaze .
Most of my jobs have less detail and are more craftsman and less contemporary then this job required . Running the grain all in the same direction makes for a pleasing to some result , my clients love the look .

Great job. Mind ballparking how much that job went for? I'm surprised you found someone willing to pay for custom cabinets.
Family.....They're always there when they need you.
Thanks M ,
That job was about $250.00 per lineal foot of cabinet averaged over base and wall ,doors and drawers, panelized ends and all the extras added together to the final total price divided X footage .But it had about everything you can have that made sense some drawers inside of drawers a lazy susan soft close feature on all the hinges recycle / trash bin tip out sink front all full extension slides and a post cat finish . Like 30 drawers in the kitchen .
The only real market that has any considerable activity is the high end not the low end , they / we don't have no money to do anything .
That job involved a laundry room and a pantry both with paint grade cabinets but another 60 lf of boxes then the kitchen , it was a nice job for this one man shop .
I have been told by some of the guys back East and such places that they get from 900-1200 bucks a foot for built in wall units and custom furniture stuff.
Most of the big juicy jobs are filtering through some designer gal who seems to be involved in a lot of kitchens , but if you are not on her favored list which includes one very good shop your out . I'm hoping to get her to look at the whole job and throw me a bone now and then .
