Hi,
I’m appraising an older duplex in Chicago. The electrical is overhead. The main wire is attached at the top of the home, has a loop, and then travels down the side of the house to the electrical meters. Wire is only attached in a few places. There is no metal conduit. Doesn’t the City of Chicago require a metal conduit down to the meter?
Thanks for your help.

Not 80 years ago, most codes are not retroactive.
This appears to be new work on a recently renovated home. Insulated wire is newer. I guess I'll ask for permits.
