I am about to build. The Tulikivi is on its way. I need a chimmeny. The options are standard chimmeny, metalsbestos pipe or isokern (volcanic) pumice system. The latter is , I think, the best option, but there is no dealer within 200 miles.
Given the other choices, which would you pick and why?
Thanks
Frank

We used a masonry chimney for the tulivi. Why? Beats the (*&% outta me.
A customer of mine installed the same corner stove. It was built out from the corner with a chase to the top of the stove. From there the metalbestos pipe had a round soapstone pipe chase that took it to the ceiling. I believe this was the location of the damper. It looked very nice. Am working in that area next week, could take a pic of the application and send it to you if you wish.
*to answer my own question, after calling multiple masonary stove people, it appears that a well built, standard chimeny will work fine.Frank
*Yes it will Frank. Pay special attention to the footings for both the chimney and the stove. And best of luck.
