I own the Delta 12″ CMS (not sliding) model #36-325. Had it for a few years, worked great. About a month ago, I noticed the fence was not straight. Can’t imagine why, because I don’t tote it around much, and don’t abuse it, but I imagine it must have gotten bent in transport to a job somehow.
Took off the fence, and it was warped/twisted. Tried to “nudge” it back into alignment/straighten it. Just a little, but not enough. So I tried harder, and sure enough, the aluminum fence cracked.
Went on line to order a new one. Found the part and the price, but the website said not available. So I called, and they told me they don’t make that fence any more, so I’m out of luck.
I know I could build one out of wood and/or angle iron, but I would like to find a replacement. Any ideas? Anybody got an old chop saw with a burned up motor or some other problem with a good fence?
Thanks in advance.

Hey Pete is that cracked or broke? I would suggest you get it welded and then sand it flat on a large sheet of sand paper. For a welder look in the business yellow pages or ask at some of the motorcycle shops.
Did you contact Delta directly?
Their usually real good about supplying parts if available.
Good Luck!

Have you tried toolpartsdirect.com? They were able to get an obscure nosepiece for a old Skil drywall gun for me, they might be worth a shot.
