I finished painting my room addition that will now be the home for my helicopter build. I needed to get it out of the stairshops dusty and crowded enviroment. I have three 180 degree stairways going in that one room where the chopper was, and there are several in the holding pattern. So…it was time to get that room done!
So today,,,I washed the floor, put in a window, installed some of the cabinets, and moved the helicopter in.
I have some parts to continue the build, and I will be flying it later this year.

Stan-
Very nice. I would guess that clean and pristine is the way to go for an aircraft build as well as the hanger interior itself. The amount of light is probably very important, too.
Do you move the 'copter by pushing down on the tail and then rolling on the wheels?

Geez, I looked at the floor in the first pic, and thought you had waxed and buffed it, so I was relieved when I saw it was only water.
There's a huge hangar facility up in Ft. Hood Texas my boy used to work in that repaired Blackhawks, Kiowas, and Apache helos. It's about 200 yards long and can hold a couple dozen helos. Drive in one side pull out the other to the field. Big crane runs the length for installing motors, trannies, hubs and rotor assemblies.
That floor gets waxed and buffed twice a month...
Looks real nice Stan:
I had to laugh when I saw the Dewalt equipment in the background.
Great to hear that folks are busy out there!!
Whole lotta empty space in there.
Does the addition get a cuppola too?
