Nice looking kids. But those are some odd sized safety glasses. Do you need some kid sized ones?

I don't have a lot of pictures of my Sons downloaded yet. But here are a couple of my "Santa" pics.

This little girl was born to a cousin of mine last Wednesday.

    A little 7 pound keeper.

These twins belong to some friends. They're about 3 months old. It was hard to get them coordinated for the picture. One would start crying, and they'd have to calm her down. Then the other one would hurl, and would have to be cleaned up.

By that time the first one was crying again....

Cute kids. The safety glasses came with the whole setup from Menards. It was like $12 and I couldn't resist. I already took away the hammer. Right after the pic he turned around and was ready to aim for the glass door. These will be "outside toys" or when I'm in the shop.

      Hope you had a Merry Christmas.....and a Happy Kwanzaa,John

Grandkids were over to open some from us

Sarah with cello, Aaron with coronet,  other boys opted for lego sets.

It's fun to see pics of kids/grandkids opening presents....best part of Xmas. Those gifts are better than video games.

I just had to add one more picture and a brief story.

This young lady was an elf for me earlier this month when I had a Santa gig. She's a veteran elf, and I enjoyed having her around.

I really felt bad that night - It was danged cold. She wasn't dressed as warmly as she should be and kept shivering. I called her my litte "Elf-Sicle". (Like popsicle)

        Anyway here's our picture:

        View Image

When I was talking to her Mom recently, she told me something my little elf had said that cracked me up.

At times when there were no kids coming ni to see us I'd sit her no my lap and wrap her up in my jacket to try to warm her up a little. And of course I'd tell her stories and various silly things, like I always do.

Apparently at some point during the evening I was kidding around with her about not being able to remember things and said:

"When you get old, your eyesight is the 2nd thing to go. I can't remember what the first thing is"

I say things like that all the time, and most people who know me are used to it. But my little elf wasn't so sure.

So sometime during the following week, she told her Mom about what I had said. And she asked:

"Do you think Ron REALLY couldn't remember what the first thing was? 'Cause I was gonna tell him. But then I wondered if he was just kidding around with me."

        (-:

Cute kid. You might want to introduce her to your youngest. Good story. I try to remember when I make comments that they might be repeated. Usually when I think my kids aren't listening, that's when they pick up on something.

          Happy New Year,

           John

She's about 8 years younger than Carl, so I don't think he'll be waiting around for her. But she is a doll, and is very likeable too. she got that from her Mom, who is a good friend of mine. I'm supposed to see 'em both New Year's day. They asked if I would help with assembling some furniture and moving some stuff around. If I get some more pics I'll post 'em here next week.
