The bonus and boss’ presents threads reminded me of something I wanted to ask ya’ll:
What would be something we could do for the crew working on our house? It’s nearly done–should be complete a little after Christmas–and I’d like to show them some more appreciation for their hard work.
We have been thanking them and pointing out the stuff we really appreciate as we go along (which seems to mean a lot), but I’d like to do something else.
Suggestions? (And consider that we’re at the end of homebuilding process, so money is tight, LOL). I do cook and bake.
Leigh

If they have done a good job, then how about recommending them to all your friends and neighbors. If they get a job out of it that is about the best present they could get. They will really appreciate you bringing them work. Aside from that, a thank you maybe a nice card and a letter that they could add to their portfolio. That would be a really nice thing to do.
You bake? Always a plus.

You say you Cook, I have never met anybody that did'nt like M&M cookies!
You have now. I prefer regular chocolate chips in my cookies.
Bob.
oatmeal raisin are my weakness. I can usually ignore M&M or chocolate chip cookies
The best gift would be a long list of referrals, wouldn't hurt to ask your contact at the company for a small number of business cards to pass out, just in case the opportunity presented it self.
Homemade cookies/pies/cakes, never really met someone who would turn them away.
Cash is nice, and so would be a gift certificate to the local tool if you really wanted to give something, or gift certificates to a local restaurant etc....
Though any material gift will be forgotten while referrals can pay back in spades over the years, so your sincere gratitude and thanks should really be enough.
