I would appreciate some recommendations for 7 1/4″ sidewinder corded circular saws.
I have an under powered Craftsman circular which I bought years ago so I’m not really up-to-date on the better brands and models. I won’t be using the saw a lot…..mostly for breaking down plywood and 2 X lumber.
I’ve been using my old saw to do this, but even with new/good blades it’s a chore to use.
Thank You

My choice is Milwaukee, I forget the model but it has a tilt lock handle [no biggie there]. It's strong at 15 A., fast and dependable. Probably a better saw than you need.
I've not used any name brand saws in recent years like PC, Makita, or Bosch that were not perfectly suited to the uses you describe . Saws have improved a lot across the board in the last decade or so. You might get along fine with a nonpro model but I'll bet you'll be very happy with any brand pro saw. If you go with a recon or sale saw you probably could score for a little over a hundred $.
