I am going to buy a new worm drive circular saw. I have used the Mag 77 for years yet am interested in buying something different. I see Bosch, DeWalt and Milwaukee all have comparable saws. I am partial to the Milwaukee since I have never been disappointed with their tools. Basically I am looking for opinions on Mag 77 alternatives, or if it isn’t broken why fix it? (i.e. stick with what has worked!)

I believe that Makita has a special now with a tool belt thrown in for $144. The tool belt looks like the nylon Dewalt except blue. Our local supplier has a web store http://www.heavydutytools.net/. They show temporaily out of stock but check with Mark online and he can tell you when they will have them. Tell him Bob Smith sent you. This is a family operation that started out as electrical contractors and went in to electrical and plumbing supply. They are great folks! They also carry Milwaukee.
