Clay Smith of this forum got the gyrocopter bug from seeing my pictures….so much that he came to Bensen Days last week in Florida and met up with me. He took a ride and it looks like he is hooked. Clay is a very nice guy and I wish him the best. I wish he would post more on the forum…he said he was mainly a lurker.
Thats Clay on the left and myself.

Always enjoy seeing your posts about gyrocopters. Reminds me of my Grandaddy that worked with Igor Bensen.
Hi Stan,
Thanks for the kind words, and also for the great welcome that you and your many gyro friends gave me in Florida. It was a real pleasure to meet you. Riding in a gyro is like nothing I could imagine.....way, way too much fun, and all from reading your wonderful gyrocopter build thread. What a great sport and I'm glad you shared your hobby here on this forum. You've also inspired me to make an attempt at building a curved staircase (nothing fancy) in my next house. I'll ask questions and/or post progress here.
Clay
Still no bids on this one and only 6 hours left to go:

Not real impressed with his feedback rating though.

That's sure a nice looking gyrocopter. One of the many things that impressed me at the gyro convention was the attention to detail that goes into these machines. Most of these guys are excellent craftsmen that build them, design them, tinker with them, and are really proud of them, and most of all enjoy flying them. Stan's SparrowHawk is at the top of the food chain in the Gyro world.

"there is a god and he spoke to me.."Looks like double-speak!<G>
Looks like it's gonna snow in hell! Stan figured out how to number his pictures with something other than a string of a1a1a1a1a1a1a1
But now he's posting two copies of the same picture.
