Hey all…
I’m selling off some of my older tools. I was wondering if anyone has a cleaning solution for the ABS cases? (Drills, recips etc.)
I know when they come back from the repair shop the tools are pretty clean.
Thanks.

With the right approach, you can restore old hardware—whether through soaking, scrubbing, or polishing—giving it a fresh look while preserving its original charm.

Don't know anything about cleaners. Just wanted to suggest that you try selling some of your stuff through the "reader classifieds" on this site.
Give your Breaktime buds a shot at the stuff. (-:
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.
I clean my tools and cases with Simple Green. Spray it on full strength, wipe off with damp rag, then dry. Many of the used tools and cases I have purchased looked like crap when I got them and they looked like almost new when finished. I usually blow everything off with a small bore air gun first. Many tools may benefit from a light misting of WD-40 afterwards followed by a wipe down.
Back when I was in the phone biz, used Goof-Off from Valspar to get rid of everything--even markers where folks wrote names/numbers on the phone.

Try some "Goop" or "GoJo" mechanic's hand cleaner. It's got a little mineral spirits in it and lanolin. Works like a charm on leather and my vinyl tractor seat.
