I am looking for suggestions for cleaning interior brick work of efflorescence. The brick work is about 30 years old and shows white powdery deposits at certain locations. Thanks.

effloresense is caused by salts which were dissolved in water that was in the brick comming to thew surface and crystalising.
all you have to do is keep brushing them of with a stiff brush.
do not use water as the salts will dissolve again and they will then reappear again in the future.
just keep brushing it off until they have all gone.
it might take a while.
The fact that the brickwork is that old, yet still shows efflorescence means you have moisture moving through the brickwork in those locations.
As well as cleaning off the efflorescence you should do something about the moisture penetration.
