I installed 18″ WHITE limestone tiles then covered them a cpl of weeks after sealing them with 1/4″ ply to protect them while I was finishing up my spec house. Was a greatttttt idea except someone….not giving any names out( I have to live here)spilled all kinds of fruit juice at the edges and it seeped under the ply…..weeksssssssssss ago. I pulled the ply up yesterday and it looks absolutly gorgous….great work Andy…..EXCEPT where the juice went, which was like on about half a dozen tiles..ughhhhh. Stained them reallyyyy bad. It set in real good too. I used a pretty strong limestone cleaner. I flooded the tiles and mopped them up . Did this a dozen times trying to saturate the tiles and absorb the stains. It worked about 50% but thats not good enough….AT ALL! Dont know what else to do and I really dont want to break out all those tiles and try and find replacements and reinstall them if I do find them..Anyone have a miracle answer for me? Whaaaaaaaa!
Thanks….Andy

yes.. didn't your mom tell you not to wear white socks with dark shoes?
on another point....
some household remedies may work..
try duplicating the stain on another piece of limestone so you can practise on it..
i'm thinking maybe a mild acid.. like vinegar..
if you can find out what the (Ph) of the juice was you could work on neutralizing it..
but i'm no chemist..
*Mike, I feel so ashamed...Your right,, I did have on white socks and black dogs...OMG....Now I'm bummed thanks for sharing that pal... The cleaner I used did have some kind of acid in it..actually burned my hands a bit (of course I didnt use rubber gloves like the instructions said...I had to be a man to neutralize my white socks and black dogs)....ThanksAndy
