I'd say there is no standard Ht. Especially if you want to make efficient use of space. However, for a simple run-of-the-mill shelf and pole closet, with lots of wasted space, go with a pole Ht. around 62".

agreed, I set my rods at 66" . I use 40" & 80" for doubles.

61 19/32" is what I always set mine at.
*Off the subfloor, or do you take into account the finish floor thickness?

*AFF?Rich Beckman
*AFF= Above Finished Floor

Is the 63" AFF height o.c.? (heh heh)
*OK Guys, funs over......I installed backing (not gonna tell you at what height)also checked out what the rest of the free world is doing with closet organizers. I will go that route, almost afraid to ask any more questions because of your terrorizing....
