   I'll cast my vote for .co or even .net and .us (which you didn't mention) before .biz.

   I don't know but to me I see xxx.biz and I think infomercial or multi-level marketing.

   I'd agree -- biz just seems to be associated with shady operations.

   But sometimes it's better to just find another name, or "extend" what you have with some qualifier.

   Well I'm not at all sure blurting that out in a public forum where it could be picked up by someone who wants to domain squat is such a good idea.

   Sure I would feel okay discussing that in private back channel conversations but not in a public forum.

   The first thing that came to mind reading that was "Hey what's you Bank Account PIN? Tell us and I tell you whether or not I think it secure enough."

   Well yeah, its not quite that bad but I hope you get my point.

   I don't think it's that big of a deal, the name he wants is already taken anyway.

   I'm speaking as someone who had a domain stolen right out from underneath me. I wanted to have to have NortheasternHomes.net to go along with NortheasternHomes.com and within a week of mentioning that in the now defunct Remodeling Magazine forums back in the late nineties some guy from Australia or New Zealand, I can't recall exactly, swooped in and bought it and then tried selling to me.

   Believe me it happens.

   The .biz domain is used by for a website that aims at legitimate commercial use but it is better moving away from it as it hurts your exposure in most of the fields if you consider the relevancy algorithms.
