I am building a deck for dog runs on DW kennel building. The deck will be covered by a roof, so direct exposure to weather will be kept to a minimum. The floor is 3/4″ Advanteck glued and screwed to the joist. I chose a solid deck surface over treated or synthetic to minimize the amount of waste build up under the deck when it is washed and disinfected. The deck is on grade, so she will be unable to clean up anthing that gets under it.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a coating for the deck?
I am looking at rubberized coatings, but have been unable to locate a source in the US that manufactures them for wood surfaces.

I dont know of a lot that will hold up to dog urine and power washing constantly.

There won't be an power washing, just sray with disinfectant and hosed off.
Dogs chew on wood. We lost a champion bitch to cancer in the mouth, gums and jaw. The vet said she wasn't sure is the treated wood slinter she had to remove from the bitchs' mouth was causitive or not, but DW will not allow her dogs to be around treated lumber.
Synthetic would be the first alternative if we could clean and treat the area under the deck, but that is not possible. The joist have 2-3" on crushed stone under them with landscape fabric under that. We added lime dust to the rock to inhibit the growth of nasties that may start if any waste mater does get through the Advantech floor.
We found a product made in UK that is an industrial marine coating made for wooden decks. It is rubberized and chemical resistant to industrial acids, salts etc. It has the added benefit of being slip resistant, so people and the pooches won't bust their butts, like they would with a regular floor enamel.
Just thought someone here may know of a similar product made here in the states.
