I want to put a door to a walkin closet on a narrow section of wall (most of the wall has insufficient headroom because it’s under a roof). Any reason I can’t/shouldn’t out a 24″ door in? I have this nagging feeling I’m missing a code issue somewhere…but I could jost be having one of those days.

Can you put in a door with a chamfered corner?
all of my closet doors are 24 inches, even two bathroom doors are 24 inches. I got a linen closet that 18 inches. Question is, can you fit through the door.
Are you thinking that section of wall is holding the roof up?
sometimes board sometimes knot
Nope, I'm framing a new wall in an existing space. No loads, no changes to existing framing. Just didn't know what the code says about minimums going into a walk-in. Now that I think about it, I'm sure there's a min, but I can't imagine 24" not being allowable.

No code minimum for a clsoet. Do as you see fit.
