To prevent moisture buildup and improve performance, install a continuous air barrier—such as drywall or specialized membranes—under tongue-and-groove boards or other interior wall paneling.

I have used the hitachi for the last year and not one complaint about it.
I have the Hitachi NV65AH, nice gun.
Another vote for Hitachi. I've got two and they've always worked really well. I also hear good things about the Max guns, but nobody will service them around here.
thanks to all for the votes of confidence. I'll go with the hitachi or Max. we have a store down here called southern fastening systems that services the max guns.

any body know the difference between a siding and a roofing nailer.will the roof nailer only shoot roofing nails or can it shoot stainless siding nails too?
RTC
Roofing nailer shoots large head wire collated roofing nails only. Coil siding nailer shoots siding nails only. Can't do both with either. Can't fire narrow crown staples in my framing nailer either. There really is no 'all purpose' nailer.View Image
i have heard that siding nailers don't have the power to nail hardi trim so i'm gonna use my doufast main frame with the depth set flush.i've done it befor and it worked great.save me about $400 also.

we use Bostich CN66 sidewall .... but most of our fibercement is hung blind with a roofing gun
the coil sidewall gun has plenty of power for FC, but we only facenail where we have to... this our third bostich coil sidewall nailer cn63, cn64 and the 66Mike Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
siding nailers don't have the power to nail hardi trim
Not true. It's a question of air pressure and depth setting.
