Cold Minnesota Basement Probs
I purchased a home back in october and have learned that the finished basement is very cold.
Peeking into an access panel, I found that there is no insulation between the drywall and foundation.
Is there anygood way to insulate besides tearing the drywall down and filling that air gap?

No. Your best bet would be to start over and have closed cell foam sprayed on.
Drywall is cheap and easy to remove/replace.
But check for air leaks first, especially along the rim joist.
Windows?
What kind of shape are your basement windows in?
I replaced about a dozen 1926 basement windows in my Chicago bungalow with modern vinyl replacement windows and the basement air temp improved by 10*. This is still with zero insulation on the walls.
If your windows are as numerous and as bad as mine were, this is an easy fix.
Good luck.
