Hi,
I have a FHW system, 4 zones, one of which runs the second floor. One bedroom upstairs is usually very cold. I’m assuming it is the end of the run but I really have no idea. The thermostat is in the master bedroom which is at the other end of the house. The house is in Southern NH. I have someone coming over to look at this but, what types of things could cause this? What can be done to fix it?

We can suggest just so much, for lack of more detail. Is the cold room over a garage, and perhaps it lacks insulation between room and garage? Are there severe air leaks into that end? Does the hot water pipe to the baseboard heater get hot at inlet and outlet?
One possibility is an air pocket in the run through that bedroom, severely limiting flow through that loop, and that room is last in the loop. You should locate the vents and open them to vent air. Also, check for sufficient pressure at the boiler. There ought to be an expansion tank. Is the valve to it open? Is it waterlogged?
Tell us more, and we'll tell you more.
No garage, the room is over the living room which warms up fine (different zone). I checked last night and the inlet and outlet pipes were both warm, I wouldn't call them hot but we're not in full hearting season yet. I just turned on the zone to check the pipes not to heat the room so it didn't run that long.
One thing I have noticed in this room is that the windows always frost up in the winter. Is that an indication of a problem? There has always been a humidifer running in the room in the winter too
Yes there is an expansion tank, as far as I know, it is working properly. I am having a service person come out to check the system out.
The thermostat is in the master bedroom which is at the other end of the house.
That could be the source of the problem. I had a similar situation with a forced air system. The thermostat was near the fireplace chimney and the kitchen. So when there was cooking or fire burning going on, the bedrooms got cold. Moved the thermostat nearer the bedrooms and away from occasional heat sources and the problem was solved.
