Hello,
Do any of you folks have experience +/- with this brand of window. Would you happen to know if they manufacture a replacement window unit (as opposed to new construction)?
These windows seem to be similar to Renewal by Anderson.
Thanks a bunch.

what the heck does "bump" mean, and how do I get it done?
Well, I figured since your profile said you'd been around since 2002 that you would probably know what 'bump' meant but looks like I was under presumption.
Often times a post made by someone will move too quickly thru the forum and end up sitting buried somewhat out of sight for many here that don't read too far back in the post listings.
This message would have given a better understanding of the reason for the 'bump' post.
Greetings doitall,
This post, in response to your question, will bump the thread through the 'recent discussion' listing again.
Perhaps it will catch someones attention that can help you with advice.
Cheers

I have seen a few Renewal by Andersens installed by their "pros" and am not too impressed. The sashes do not slide as nice as a high quality vinyl window. The track on which they slide develops black streaks from composite on composite contact. The sills have bowed after a few years. I initially figured the installers must have pounded the shims in with a 5lb sledge, but they were not overly tight. I installed three more the homeowners had purchased but were never installed. The sills have not bowed, but the slide action is not smooth.
Only my opinion...
doit, Comfortline is based in toledo. I have used their products (vinyl storms, vinyl dbl hng and slideby replacements, fibreglas casements, a couple patio sliders, and 3 storms. All have been worth the money I paid. Many of the people in the plant and office have been there since this company came about. I've watched them go from a small shop on an alley to a large manufacturing operation. I'm not sure about fibreframe, maybe a different name to the fibreglas casements I've used, but the company I would trust. That being said, I deal with them on a local level. I get a good price, they sell wholesale and installer only.
Study the product, ask for a sample. Make an informed decision.
