I have noticed a lot of plumbers lately using compression shut-off valves on cpvc lines. Is this legit now? I guess I just have doubts about cpvc maintaining its integrity when that compression joint tightens down it, seems like it might warp or distort.

CWCJR....
I'm not a plumber....but......
I've seen it done (compression w/CPVC) since the 70's.
I've done it myself since the 70's.
None of my work has failed since the 70's.
...at least that I know of!
Check local codes first as they take precedence.
My county has no codes or enforcement.
State codes apply, but there are two officials for 15 counties.
Whole house jobs and commercial are best left to the professional.
Repairs/rehabs/additions are often done by the contractor.
......Iron Helix

Thanks for the feedback.
