Hi All,
Simple question here…What oil do you guys use for your compressors?
I have a newer Dewalt/Emglo and they recommend a 30w synthetic. Unfortunatly none of the parts strores around here have ever heard of a straight 30w synth.
So it seems Dewalt is specing a special oil that only they distribute, which would be fine if they would make it available. I can’t find it anywhere except going to the big city and spending an hour on the road….sigh…. I’ll just have to get that nail gun I’ve been eyeing to make myself feel better about this<G>

I bought some Senco compressor oil at my local air tool sales and repair shop. I would think it would be available in other air compressor related businesses like an auto body paint store.
I just did a quick Google search. You can buy on line.

Go to an industrial supply and get a gallon of Lubriplate compressor oil can't beat it and it will last you a lifetime, I use it in all my compressors.
I use Emglo brand "Synthetic Blue" or something like that. It's thirty weight and it's actually blue. They have it at my local tool shop and my "air guy" has it on his truck all the time when he comes around to the jobsite. Can't say anything bad about it, so I'd have to say it works just fine! I use it in my Hitachi portable and Honda powered big boys as well.
