As part of a remoldeling project on my first home, i am planning to do a concrete bartop, and maybe countertops if i like the results. Any suggestions would be appreciated. First, do i need to add anything to the mix? and second, with an L-shaped top, will the corner necesarily crack? Shoild i do two seperate peices? I am planning on using rebar and wire.

Only reason you would need additives is for special color. No reason the corner will crack if done and supported properly. Check out Buddy Rhodes' and Fu Teng Cheng (hope that's spelled right) by Googling. They're the Big Kahunas of seement furniture.
