Does anyone have any advice on building the concrete foundation for a boathouse in southern Ontario? This is an inland wet slip built where the old boathouse existed.Any ideas on keeping the water out of the pour area during construction? We left the old concrete ( heavily pourous) foundation in place and we are trying to build dirrectly behind it,trying to use it as a dam during construction.Any ideas on how to create a sump to direct the water to one place until we can get the foundation poured?

Yah, I have seen 36" culverts used, they push them into the bottom as far as they can , then fill them with concrete.
And when you pour into the culvert, drop a tube to the bottom so the concrete doesn't drop through the water, but displaces it from the bottom. Raise the tube as you fill the form.
