*You might check at Sunset magazine's website, they have had articles about concrete counters and might have something in their archives - http://www.sunset.com , or they might have something in one of their books, expensive though.
*FHB did something, maybe a couple of things, on this. One showed everything even the staining. As I recall the other one was more prep. Bill
*Starting point?Is it practical? Do you have flimsy cabinets that can't hold the weight? If on an island, can your joists carry that amount of dead load at mid-span? CCtops are often 1-1.25 inches thicker than conventional countertops. Can you function with a higher countertop height (if placing on old cabinets). Using old sink? New sink? How are you going to incorporate it?If you can incorporate the tops into your kitchen design, most anything goes. Hazards? Don't eat the mix. Don't rub it in your eyes.
