I just finished installing a support post with footrail under a concrete countertop. I also provided the 1/4″ steel substrate as requested by the contractor. This countertop was poured on site, unlike those shown in the recent issue of Fine Homebuilding. They look good so far but there are slight air bubbles in the finished top. Does this type of pour create other problems that I haven’t noticed yet?
