What is the deal with the 7 1/4 inch sawblades that are sold for cutting concrete? The walk, talk, look and act like a regular circular sawblade, but they don’t fit my saw’s arbor. One’s too small, one’s too big and those diamond shaped inserts don’t fit anything. I have a standard Porter Cable circular saw, but I can’t find any adaptors or busings that would allow me to use the concrete blades. Do I have to get a dedicated saw for these things?

The $7 special I got from Harbor freight (ugh?? to some) had 5/8 hole, was 7-1/4 and fit just fine, very few diamonds but cut through 5 feet of concrete 2.6" deep in about 10 minutes (I flooded with water from hose onto DI old 8 Amp skill saw) with no apparent wear.

I bought some diamond blades at lowes, planet diamond brand. They fit my saw just fine. 5/8 inch arbor with a diamond knockout. About 16 dollars. Worked well.
Are you sure yours were meant for circular saw use?
