I want to seal my newly poured concrete garage and basement floors. There are several different products in the local stores, many of which have different ingredients (some are very expensive). Obviously, I want something that will last as long as possible. I suppose it is like anything – you get what you pay for but I would appreciate any specific recommendations.

I suggest that you stick with the proven commercial sealants. Examples would be Williams products like TIAH or Euco's Diamond Clear. Find them at a professional building or masonry supplier. They really aren't that expensive.
