Thanks

I have used the same Gilson for over 30 years. I scrapped the B&S junk engine after 6 months and installed a Robin. Grease it every time you use it and clean it up as best you can and that combination will last forever.
You will need a 6:1 gear reduction on the engine. Honda or Robin makes them. Use synthetic oil in the engine after break-in. Use Stabil for storage. One pull in the spring brings it to life!
Stone- bought it in '86, sold it to a contractor friend I was working for .......... it's still kicking. http://www.stone-equip.com/ As for motors I'd look for a Honda GX series (not the homeowner GC series). The Robin EY27 on my old Stone mixer is every bit as good as a Honda, parts availability is not. Used to keep a spare plug, fuel and air filters on hand. No problem getting parts, just had to wait a week or two. Ditto to what Bojangles said about grease and Stabil.
