I remember reading about a product that is injected into holes drilled into concrete to create cracks and thus pieces that can be more easily removed. it may be called Bristar or S-mite. Can anyone help me find out where to obtain this stuff please? Also any experience with it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do a search. This was just discussed about 3 weeks ago or so.
BTW - my concrete contractors use young men, a 12# sledge, and a skid steer. I guess I'm a softy, but I feel sorry for these guys everytime I see it. The 12" thick stuff really kills 'em! Jack hammers are only for special occaisions.
The trick to that is to lift the concrete up off the dirt just a little. Do it with a long bar, then hit it with the sledge. It breaks much easier when it's not supported on the ground.

Raise piece of slab 6 or 8" with the bobcat. Throw a piece of broken concrete under there about the size of a football. Let it down. Beat with a 12# sledge. Go home and sleep good that night.
Some rental yards carry the stuff. Otherwise, a concrete tool & supply house should either have it, or they can get it.
I've heard bentonite will do it. Not sure. If you come up with something let me know. I'm interested.
Rock the Tipi!
Ammonium nitrate soaked in diesel fuel works, but can be unpredictable. It's exciting at any rate.

Plan "b" is harder, but safer.
I don't know about safer but it sure is quick...Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming<!----><!----><!---->

This question has been coming up several times, lately. Sounds like an opportunity for Taunton to get a new advertiser.
It's called Dexpan. Here is the link to my local supplier http://www.grayhawkofhawaii.com/pages/1/index.htm
It's manufactured by Archer in Colorado I think.
