Pouring a new basement slab and adding in a washroom. Our slab will be polished concrete and become our finished floor. I would like a curbless shower where the basement floor extends into the shower but I’m worried about water proofing within the shower. Any articles or details were something similar has been done would be greatly appreciated.

What are you worried about? Water getting into the slab?
I guess inbetween the slab and my vapour barrier underneath and more specifically in the corners wicking up behind the concrete board. I think a good sealer should prevent this.
I'd consider an epoxy coating.
Thanks, I'm going to speak to the finishing contractor and see if they can recommend a proper sealing finish.
Here’s a good detail drawing of what you plan. It shows how to install a rubber pan and incorporate it into your slab. Scroll down to “page 9” (or 7) …..
You’ll find it. Sorry, couldn’t copy / paste the pg.
