I have supply and return ducts in the attic. We remodeled our exterior this year and turned the attic into conditioned space. The old attic floor insulation was removed and the roof deck was spray foamed. All ducts were resealed with mastic and the duct insulation was removed to complete that procedure.
We currently have the main house set at 68 degrees but the attic is showing a temperature of 72 degree.
Is it normal to have the attic warmer than the house?
Should I reinsulate the ducts and seal the attic floor?

Conditions outside are important to consider. Bright sunshine in moderate weather is different than a frigid winter night.
It may help to review the hvac airflow balancing.
Insulation of the sealed air distribution can help if the space is warmer only while actively heating.
Not a great idea to make a seal sandwich.
Depending on your hvac equipment, it may be that operating a low speed air circulation fan can help even out the temperature variations.

The reason we have ducts in the attic is because we put in geothermal. We originally had electric base board heat.
We live in mid Michigan.
