A friend of mine is a painter with a few guys working for him.
He’s honest, does good work, and is reliable and getting good jobs and plenty of them. He probably does 60% of his painting for homeowners and 40% as a sub for a few GCs.
Up until now he has been a “word-of-mouth” and “handshake” kind of guy but as he gets better and bigger jobs and to avoid any nasty surprises, he knows he’s got to start writing contracts so all parties know what, when, how, etc.
Does anyone know of some sample contracts that he could get ahold of and tweak them for his business?

Tell him to spring for "The Contractor's Legal Kit". I use it and it just saved me thousands by giving me an enforceable contract ;)
