Way back last year I did this http://forums.taunton.com/tp-breaktime/messages?msg=73188.1. Designed and built the portico and balcony and French doors from scratch – bought the columns, 18″ diameter by 18′, I think. Balcony brackets from Slateman; balustrade from another project I detailed here last year.
Landscaper and painter finally finished their things today. Got some pix as they were leaving. Disregard the date – new battery in the camera!

Forrest,
I remember one part of that job that you 'Trued' (plumbed) the new work and the owner was concerned. I think you did the right thing. Those doors you built were $weet.
Great looking job. Great thread.

Looks great, like it was always there.
That looks nice Forrest, what ever happened about the hanging light? Outside of the gates the trucks were unloadin',
The weather was hot, a-nearly 90 degrees.
The man standin' next to me, his head was exploding,
Well, I was prayin' the pieces wouldn't fall on me.
They decided not to install one yet.
They're thinking. At least my wooden model gave them something to visualize . . .

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (May 7, 2008) –Georgia State freshman catcher Catherine Lee was chosen as the 2008 Colonial Athletic Association softball Player and Rookie of the Year by a vote of the league’s eight head coaches. Her selection highlights this year’s All-CAA awards, which were presented Wednesday night on the campus of Hofstra University, which will host the 2008 CAA Softball Championship.
Lee, who is the first to receive both the Player and Rookie of the Year awards in the same season, put together a phenomenal season for a first-year performer. The freshman catcher ranked second in the league with a .412 batting average and led the CAA in hits (68), runs (50), RBI (61), doubles (16), home runs (16) and slugging percentage (.800). The rookie is fourth in the nation in RBI’s per game (1.15), 13th in runs (.94 pg) and 15th in homers per game (0.3). Lee is the first Georgia State softball player to earn Player of the Year honors while a member of the CAA and is the third straight Panther to earn Rookie of the Year accolades.
I'm sure the beautiful balcony helped.
