Just thought this was cool looking. It’d certainly avoid all the usual questions about flooring and RFH, “can I put it over concrete?, “do I need a vapor barrier?”, “what finish works best?”
Wish I had a project for it…

I'm currently working on a project with $800,000 worth of glass floors, ramps. and rails. Very cool look, but mucho expensivo!!! Unfortunately, we're fritting the surface of the glass to avoid being able to stand under it and look up as the ladies walk over.....lol.
See, you shoulda listened to me and bought this privacy glass...no fritting necessary! <G>
Will your building include any of this?
from the outside-
and from the inside.....
Anything I put my mind to, I could do..... given time, money, etc....
I dont know if I could use that craper! Even if you cant see in, the seeing out would make your mind play games with you!
After some minor initial hesitation, I think I'd love to have one of those in my front yard. I'd be laughing everytime I sat down...
A cruise boat we were on on the Rhine river had a clear window at waist height right off a mian passageway with a side view of the men's urinal.
edit PS
Many if not most of the original Carnegie libraries had glass floors and huge skylights.

Last month when I was visiting Hong Kong I missed the chance to visit Philip Starck's washroom at the top of the Peninsular Hotel.
I was told the urinals were lined up in front of floor to ceiling glass and when you peed you would be overlooking the harbour.
What a view.

There goes another Archy too caught up with trying out something cool instead of making buildings that suit the people who use them.
(I'm allowed to complain - my Dad was an architect)
It looks good, what is it?
Glass. Click the pict to see their site.
all the usual questions about flooring and RFH
So, I get a mental image of glass over RFH, which includes a brief nightmare of arch specs on "neatly installed" pex "without undue markings or stains"--o so easy to spec, but harder to execute . . .
Would be a unique way to floor a house, in glass.
That's be fun, huh?!
My idea is to put some metal tubes underneath and have gas coming through it so the whole thing is a gas burner. Imagine flames beneath the floor!!!
