First of all, don’t jump on me for bein’ a wuss, but I love my puddy-tat. She holes up in my rear airlock (vestibule), comes and goes through a pet door, installed in the exterior door. The inner airlock door is a fully weatherstripped exterior fiberglass door. There’s no heat or A/C in the airlock, but there’s an exhaust fan (bathroom sized). There’s a window with screens I can leave open.
So, she’s warm in winter due to the special feline heating pad and a nice wooden box. But summers in hotlanta are hot. It’s well insulated and on the southeast side of the house (no shade, though). The exhaust fan only brings sweltering air in during the peak of our summer till it cools off–usually 4 am. So, how can I get some cooling for my cat? Don’t laugh. Sometimes I get thrown out into the “cat house” as well. It’s 5 x 12, so it’s not too bad actually!

Drat! I've been bamboozled!
The subject was misleading!
No, very straight-forward. Why would anyone want to "cool" the other kind of cathouse???
