Here’s the most recent box gutter job we’ve done. This is an early 1800’s frame house – most of the structures around here of this vintage are brick, stone or log. It was in remakably good shape-usually by the time I get the call, the whole cornice is rotted off.
These are a bunch of pics in no order on a day when they were going full blast trying to finish.
Sometimes, when I lie in bed at night and look up at the stars, I think to myself, “Man! I really need to fix that roof.”

Tell Dale. Rice three meals a day for ten days. Chew it to a pulp. And no water fifteen minutes before or after. And for the first month only water. After that have him call me. How the heck can he live up there on that oven packing all that around?

You might have seen the two day helper we had...GYM SHORTS? Really Flubby? I hope he isn't a fixture.
DAle HAS lost some lb-dge. He had the straw hat on.
Sure you could tell which was me..LOL.
THAT is why I needed the thyroid meds..I am loosing weight, and eat 3 times what Dale does. I PRAY the stuff quits messing with me tho'. Ain't good.
Yep I was confused. Throw that guy off the roof. Dale is looking good. I like the vest.

I got him that vest when I ordered mine, my wife had to "smallerize" his...I ain't crazy about mine, I stick with the bags and suspenders mostly.
That view and setting must be really tough to take.
Yeah. A lot of our jobs are in remote places like that. That was more hay and cattle than horse area. Love it.
Actually, that was about the closest to home I have worked in quite awhile too. Close miles as the crow flys, travel time about 45 mins. Great customer as well. High end Horse folks can be, well, snooty. Cattle folks tend to be more open and kind, they actually offer ya cold tea if its blazing hot.
I like watching the thunder heads from far away, dialing in us, then shift and follow the river away...unique area around here.
Hey wanna buy one of these for your van? Let me know. I'm going to put it on Craigs list if you don't want it.

Heeeyyyyyy..wait a cotton pickin minnit.
Why? Am I buying my inheritance anyway? Woodchipper, van drawers...ahem?
Iam slowly deciding just what all will live in the van, just piled in for the time being..so far, I still have plenty of ideas, AND more room in the shop! I gotta decide on a ladder rack right quick.
I don't think the Radio Shack Antenna Mast wall stand-offs, with galvy 3/4" pipe says " Classy" LOL. That's what I did on my 'old red GMC. It did work well, tho' and cheap as could be.
The racks in American Van are almost 1/2 as much as I paid for the van..the fancy ones at least.
The will reads, wood working tools. You got me on the wood chipper. (Technicality) But the van organizer Aint wood working. LOL
