Anybody else seen this from Formica? I saw it this morning and it knocked me out.
From Formica, in their Deco Metal line of laminates, real copper foil is laminated to their laminate substrate. This pattern is called 1999 Ragged Copper. My guess is that it goes for something a little more than $25/sf.
A guy we know in town, is using it in the expensive euro-style re-do of his family’s lakeside restaurant. It’s going in as the wainscot finish under the bar. Tres cool.
There has gotta be a way to use this stuff in fine homebuilding. Any ideas?

Backsplash, table tops, counters, stuff like that. I saw a large counter with the Wilsonart copper lam and it was a bit much. Formica's Ragged Copper looks better, IMO but I don't like anything that has an obviously repeating pattern.
$25/sf is high, I think, even for retail.
