Recently installed a 5hp compressor in my basement workshop and want to run copper tubing 60 feet to my garage for outside use. Planning on soldering 10 foot lengths together with a quick disconnect coupler into the garage. Saw an advertisement from Home Depot for 3/4″ copper tubing available in Type M Red or Type L Blue. What is the difference? Is one type for silver solder (which I will NOT be using)?
