Has anybody used a cordless finish nailer, 18 g, Li-ion battery?
All I saw were NiMeHi or lesser tech.

Got the Senco cordless brad finish nailer and use it all the time, works great.
Depth control is a bit weak cause they try to vary the power and that would be fine if wood were the same density all the time. I leave it on max and be done.
Its 14.4volt, two batts, charger, case and I paid $135 shipped.
is it li-ion?
is it the senco 25?
Just gotta have the latest and greatest???;O).

no,it is just NI-CAD
Thats the one the 25. Its not Li-ion but lasts for a long time and up to 2" long. Its much better than I expected. Not a mistake to buy.
This is the best price I could find http://www.power2xs.com/store.php?tnfin-cf25.shtml
So how does that thing work? I've missed several chances to buy one.
Heres another link

Prices are better.
How it works? I don't know whats inside but you use it like a air nailer. A little slower but will shoot 3 per second and if you can line up and trim at that speed I'm impressed!
Sorry, that wasn't what I meant. I meant to ask how does it perform? Does it sink the nails pretty good? Does it bounce-fire? How long does it take to charge the batteries?
I way prefer the Dewalt cordless finish guns.
You can go straight or angled ,they have 16,15,18 gauge and you can get nano batteries which are lithium ion.
Another nice point is that the dewalt system has the most comprehensive set of tools out there in the 18 volt platform and you can get great deals on refurbished or clearance sets.

I heard the Dewalts are heavy, the Senco is not as reliable as they claim. Maybe I should wait for a Bosch.
Just got a Bosch PS 30 cordless drill. Looking at a Bosch PS 50 cordless trimsaw like a Fein Tool. Appearantly the Fein patent came off so there are a number of manufacturers that jump in on a great tool.
Batts take about an hour to charge, it comes with two. Batts last for a long time, they say 1000 nails but I feel more around 500 at 2" long. Never tested it so can't say for sure.
Never jamed even with a bent nail.
Sinks the nails with no problem.
Depth control is electronic, which is ok but works the same as varying the "air" on a air nailer. Really depends on how hard the wood is, how deep the nail sets!
It is bigger than an air nailer of the same type. But this has never been a problem.
I've driven nails into plaster/brick when installing crown. It will fold up a nail if you hit a screw or other nail.
There is a bounce fire setting but I don't use that with finish work.
Its quicker than getting out the hose/compressor kit.
As I say "I would buy again"
where exactly did you buy it from>
I checked prices on the net and they vary wildly
I knew you would ask and I've been looking for the paperwork.
I think it was a special at the time. Here's the best I found so far.

Still a good price, from what I understand the "system" inside has been improved. As I said mine has never missed a beat in 6-7000 nails.
thanks
